RICHMOND — Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond celebrated its first homecoming on Oct. 16-17.
Alumni from the classes of 1994 through 2009, current students, faculty and staff gathered to renew old friendships and begin new ones.
Cold, rainy weather did little to dampen the enthusiasm of returning alumni as they toured the renovated Virginia Hall on campus and reminisced about how it used to be. Alumni lingered into the evening sharing stories of their time at BTSR and catching up on each others’ lives.
Saturday’s activities filled Virginia Hall with the mellow harmony of the musical group Brown-Hayes Project, the shouts of children enjoying the Moon Bounce and the aroma of barbeque. Even as the first Homecoming unfolded, participants began planning for the next one in 2010.
