The School of Christian Ministry at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond will offer a six-week online course on ministering to individuals with HIV/AIDS.
The course, scheduled from Feb. 5 to Mar. 19, will address questions such as, “Who are the faces of HIV/
AIDS in my congregation and community?” “What does it mean to be HIV positive?” “What does the Bible say about AIDS?” and “What is the role of the church in ministering to individuals with HIV/AIDS?”
Practical techniques for congregational ministry to those with HIV/
AIDS will be discussed. Course facilitator Ted Lewis has more than 20 years of experience in HIV/AIDS ministry.
The course materials and discussion forums are Internet-based and accessible anytime, from anywhere. Participants engage in thought-provoking question & answer and discussion with each other and the instructor via threaded discussion forums.
Registration for the course is $100. Scholarships are available to cover 50 percent of the registration fee. For more information or to register, contact the School of Christian Ministry, [email protected] or (888) 339-2877 (toll free).
