The Center for Baptist Heritage & Studies wishes to remind all high school juniors and seniors of the second annual Roots and Wings Young Scholars Essay Contest. All entries for the contest should be postmarked by Feb. 1, 2007.
First place winning essay will receive $500 as well as the possibility of the essay being published in a Center publication. The essay question for 2007 centers around “Music in Baptist Worship.”
All interested parties should visit www.baptistheritage.org/essay for more information concerning the essay topic and complete rules governing the contest. The contest is open to all 11th and 12th grade high school students (public, private or home school) attending a Baptist church in Virginia.
