There is nothing more exhilarating than to be a part of something big. Think about our mission as Virginia Baptists. In partnership with the Holy Spirit, we work together to “advance our Redeemer’s Kingdom.” What could be bigger than that? This kind of work takes place each day through the shared ministries of more the than 25 agencies, institutions, and committees, that help carry out the work of Virginia Baptists.
Over the last decade, I have been blessed to be a part of Kingdom Advance through service on several BGAV committees, as well as being a representative on the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. As such, I have both witnessed and play a small role in seeing Kingdom Advance in action, and it has truly been an exhilarating experience.
I received this opportunity to serve because somebody saw fit to put my name on a Nomination Recommendation Sheet, submitting it to the Committee on Boards and Committees for consideration. Right now you have the potential to provide somebody else with the same types of opportunities for service.

We are looking for people, both laypersons and clergy, who share our passion for Kingdom Advance. We want to nominate people who are ethnically, racially, and generationally diverse. They must be loyal to our Virginia Baptist values, passionately in love with Jesus Christ, and capable of handling the responsibilities to which they might be assigned.
