• Samuel Feemster, to Mount Vernon Church, Arlington, as pastor.

• Rodney A. Bracey, to Shalom Fellowship Church, Richmond, as senior pastor.

• Joao da Rocha, to Second Church, Richmond, as pastor of its Brazilian mission.

• Gene Burris, to Liberty Church, Skipwith, as interim pastor.

• Charles Gibson, to Bybee’s Road Church, Troy, as intentional interim pastor.

• John Johnson, to Black Creek Church, Mechanicsville, as interim pastor.

MEMBERS FOR 75 YEARS: Mary Millner Johnson (left) and Doris Adams Fulcher (right) were recognized by Amherst Baptist Church in Amherst on WMU Focus Day Feb. 14 for 75 years as members of the church. Both were baptized during the same church service in 1935 by J.W. Simmons who served as pastor from 1928-35. Mary was 12 years old and Doris was 11.

• Krista Shinew, to Moffett Memorial Church, Danville, as minister of music/organist.

• David Brown, to Calvary Church, Lynchburg, as part-time director of music.

• Jennifer Pollard, to Jackson Memorial Church, Chesapeake, as children’s ministry coordinator.

• John Mark Skammer, resigning as associate pastor of student ministry at Gayton Church, Richmond.

• Roger Littleton, resigning as minister of youth at West Lynchburg Church, Lynchburg, to accept a position in Oklahoma.

RETIREMENTS

• Joe Edmonds has retired as pastor of First Church-Ballston in Arlington. He has been named pastor emeritus by the church.

• Carl Freeman will retire as minister of music at River Road Church, Richmond, effective Aug. 31. He has served there for 42 years.

ORDINATION

• Ryan Clore will be ordained to the gospel ministry by Patterson Avenue Church, Richmond, on May 2. He serves as minister of youth and young adults at the church.

ASSOCIATONAL NEWS

• NorthStar Church Network has established its annual offering as the Dorothy Allport Network Missions Offering. For over 25 years Allport has been a volunteer serving the members of NorthStar churches and for 77 years has been an active member of First Church, Alexandria.

• Dan River Association’s third annual senior revival will be April 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Southside Church, South Boston. Rick Via will be guest speaker.
