More than 50 years after the movement began in Manhattan’s Tompkins Square Park, ISKCON is having a new moment in New York City. A religion once known for its popularity among white hippies, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, or Hare Krishna, has found both popularity and legitimacy among an ever growing Hindu diaspora.
