The Virginia Commonwealth University Guitar Ensemble performed at Main Street Baptist Church, Emporia, Va., on April 7. All music performed had Spanish influence and ranged from classical to contemporary. The performance ended with a piece in which Jeremiah Hurst, son of pastor Ricky Hurst, performed solo. The ensemble is conducted by John Patyklua.
