The Center for Baptist Heritage & Studies reminds high school juniors and seniors from Virginia Baptist churches of its Roots and Wings Young Scholars Essay Contest.
The essay topic combines the Center’s dual purpose of remembering the past and imagining the future as young people consider missions delivery. The full details are posted at www.baptistheritage.org/ essay. Entries must be postmarked by Feb. 1, 2006.
A donor has made possible cash awards. The first place winning essay will receive $500, second place $300 and third place $200, as well as the possibility of the essay being published in a Center publication.
