Rhonda Abbott Blevins, associate pastor of Tellico Village Community Church in Loudon, Tenn., and a consultant with Pinnacle Leadership Associates, has been named coordinator of the Kentucky Baptist Fellowship.

Blevins Rhonda Abbott MugBlevins, a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a doctor of ministry degree from Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology, takes office Aug. 1. She succeeds John Lepper, the statewide Cooperative Baptist Fellowship affiliate’s first coordinator, who retired after 16 years in 2014.

Chris Sanders, an attorney and deacon at Ridgewood Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., has served as interim coordinator since August.

Blevins, one-time campus minister at the University of Georgia and college minister at First Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas, previously worked for the Kentucky Baptist Fellowship as associate coordinator for missions and led in establishing the KBF’s Morocco partnership. She was ordained to the ministry in 2005.
