UNEDITED NEWS RELEASE — DALLAS — The Mainstream Baptist Network will explore the theme, “Voices of Hope: Why I Am Still A Baptist” at their annual Convocation in Dallas, Texas on February 23-24, 2007.
The featured speakers will be Bill Underwood, President of Mercer University, Macon, GA, Tyrone Pitts, General Secretary of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc., Scott Walker, pastor, First Bapitst Church, Waco, Texas, Suzii Paynter, Director, Christian Life Commission, Baptist General Convention of Texas, and Joe Lewis, Pastor, Second Baptist Church, Petersburg, Virginia. George Gagliardi, Dallas-based jazz guitarist and singer will provide the music.
The conference will start at 1 p.m. on February 23 and will conclude at noon on February 24. There will be banquet on Friday night featuring the annual presentation of the Hall of Fame honorees, and a breakfast on Saturday morning. The cost of the conference is $60 plus the cost of the hotel.
