LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABP) — The naming of a new dean to the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky will help the school gain membership in a theological school association, the seminary's president said.
The trustees of Baptist Seminary of Kentucky named Dalen Jackson as academic dean and professor of Biblical studies with tenure. They announced the decision Jan. 29.
Greg Earwood, president of the seminary, said Jackson's post as dean will play an “important role” this year as the seminary applies for associate membership with the Association of Theological Schools. Earwood also said he was thankful for the “team approach” Jackson fosters in the school.
A graduate of Samford University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Jackson has worked at the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky since it opened in 2002.
