ORDINATION
• Matthew Kozma, minister of youth at Chestnut Hill Church, Lynchburg, was ordained to the gospel ministry by the church on Jan. 25.

DEATHS
• Retired Baptist minister Daniel C. “Neil” Craig died Jan. 16 at the age of 87. He had served as pastor of Flint Hill Church, Moneta; Timber Ridge Church, Bedford; Vesuvius Church, Vesuvius; Jefferson Street and North Roanoke churches in Roanoke; and churches in North Carolina and Maryland. During retirement he served several churches as interim pastor. He had served on the Virginia Baptist and Maryland State mission boards. Craig is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Linda Kennedy and Darlene McNeill; four grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters.
• Retired Virginia Baptist pastor Joseph Harold Eaton died Jan. 18 at the age of 97. During his 50 years in the ministry he served as pastor of Mount Zion Church, Oak Park; Novum Church, Reva; Slate Mills Church, Sperryville; Iron Gate Church, Iron Gate; Sharon Church, Clifton Forge; Berea Church, Rockville; Purcellville Church, Purceville; Lithia, Cedar Bluff and Springwood churches in Buchanan; and New Church, New Church. He is predeceased by his wife, Clareece. He is survived by three children, Joseph H. Eaton, Jr., Philip L. Eaton and Melody E. Money; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 22 in Culpeper. Interment in the Novum Baptist Church cemetery.
