It is commonplace to hear that Republicans are religious, while Democrats are not. Many polls indeed suggest that a large share of Democrats, especially younger ones, describe themselves as being non-religious. This is especially true of younger women. Whether or not describing oneself as non-religious means one doesn’t believe in God is hard to say.
