REVIEW: ‘Heartache’ CD lends reassurance to sufferers

NewsReligious Herald  |  August 15, 2005

Coping with heartache can be a 24-hour-a-day challenge not only when the doors of the church are open. Some days even people with deep faith can find it difficult to cope in these uncertain times.

The newly-released CD, Heartaches Take Time, was especially created to be placed in the hands of someone going through a heartache or needing a special time of reassurance.

Heartaches Take Time was birthed from individuals who have experienced real hurt, heartache and deep human sadness. These individuals found a common bond for healing and hope through the ministry of Western Hanover Church, a new church start in Montpelier that Virginia Baptists helped birth in March 2001.

As Western Hanover Church began to evaluate its mission and purpose, it was evident that its ministry was rooted in offering a fellowship of support, spiritual guidance and spiritual healing. The church began to realize as it grew it was in direct relationship to its ministry of outreach to human hurt, spiritual confusion and its ability to be a safe place for spiritual growth and learn about Jesus Christ.

The executive producers for Heartaches Take Time, Sharon Wilton Atack and Robin Wilton Jones, provided the energy and direction for this ministry project. Sharon and Robin were some of the first members of Western Hanover Church and were able to see the immediate results of the church's ministry. Through their company, Consider the Lily, LLC, they gave guidance in producing a unique ministry tool that would provide music and verbal support for those living through crisis, tragedy or personal heartache.

They met with their pastor, Terry M. Sharpe, and the lead vocalist at Western Hanover Church, Mike Shiflett, and planned Heartaches Take Time.

At the same time, the church was completing an in-depth training conference, “Crisis Care, Hope for the Hurting,” by H. Norman Wright, which provided additional insight for the CD.

Although recently released, Heartaches Take Time is being used by Bible study and spiritual growth groups, families who are experiencing great loss, and individuals living through grief experience, personal addictions, depression and co-dependency.

This CD can be ordered at amazon.com, through the website, considerthelily.com or purchased directly from Consider the Lily, 5522-A Lakeside Avenue. Call (804) 262-3200 or toll-free (866) 510.LILY (5459) for more information.
