BLUEFIELD, Va. — Black enamel paint and a team of 31 inexperienced youth with paintbrushes were an interesting combination as three Richmond-area churches partnered for a week of service at Bluefield College in July.
Students from Beulah Baptist Church in Aylett, Biltmore Baptist Church in Glen Allen and Hardy Central Baptist Church in Richmond, along with their chaperones, spent several days painting outdoor railings around the college campus and on a three-story dormitory building. Several rooms in the gymnasium also received a fresh coat of paint along with clean-up around the gym.
