RICHMOND, Va. — Ministers looking for a break from hectic schedules may find it at Pastor’s Sabbath, set for Nov. 14-16.
The retreat, to be held at Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center near Lynchburg, Va., is sponsored by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board’s Office of the Pastor in Residence.
“We all need time to step back,” said pastor in residence Randy Ashcraft. “This retreat is for anyone who works in a ministry and needs time away to replenish. Our time will be spent in a rhythm of study, rest, prayer, fun, healthy eating and, if participants desire, exercise.”
Leaders will be Michael Sciretti, minister of spiritual formation at Freemason Street Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va.; Sammy Williams, pastor of Northminster Baptist Church in Richmond; and Drexel Rayford, pastor of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, Va.
The cost of $175 per person includes meals, lodging, snacks and retreat materials.
