STAFF CHANGES

Catherine “Katie” Chapman, to the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists, as executive director. She is CEO and founder of Fullanthropy, a philanthropic and nonprofit consultant firm based in Louisville, Ky.

Brian W. Ford, to Churchnet, a Baptist network that serves churches in Missouri, as executive director-elect, becoming executive director after the retirement of Jim Hill. He is pastor of Little Bonne Femme Baptist Church, Columbia, Mo.

David Gushee, now serving as interim pastor of First Baptist Church, Decatur, Ga.

Chris Liles, to First Baptist Church, York, S.C., as pastor. He comes from Broadway Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky., where he served as associate pastor.

Corey Miller, resigning as youth minister at Highland Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky., to accept a similar position at Middletown Christian Church in Louisville.

Luke Overstreet, to Rosalind Hills Baptist Church, Roanoke, Va., as minister to youth and children.

Tabitha Palumbo, to First Baptist Church, Bristol, Va., as children’s director.

Vince Smith, to First Baptist Church, San Angelo, Texas, as minister to families. He comes from First Baptist Church, Marianna, Fla., where he was associate pastor of student ministries.

Janee Tisby, named director of Together for Hope Arkansas. She comes from Teach for America Mississippi, where she is chief of staff. TFHAR is a part of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s rural development coalition and partners closely with the CBF of Arkansas.

Amanda R. Tyler, to the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty, as executive director, effective in Jan. 1. Currently she works as Ways and Means counsel for U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas).

Dan Venzin, to First Baptist Church, Lufkin, Texas, as minister to youth and recreation.
