STAFF CHANGES

Kelly Anderson, to Goochland (Va.) Baptist Church, as student minister.

Lyle Brackin, concluding his tenure as pastor of Oak City (N.C.) Baptist Church.

Mike Bradley, to Warrenton (Va.) Baptist Church, as senior pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Parkwood Baptist Church, Annandale, Va.

Ryan Clore, to First Baptist Church, Albemarle, N.C., as senior pastor. He comes from the pastorate of First Baptist Church, Whiteville, N.C.

Michael Gregory and Skip Irby, to Millfield (Va.) Baptist Church, as co-interim pastors.

Kay Ingram, to West End Baptist Church, Dinwiddie, Va., as music director.

William Stoklosa, to First Baptist Church, Hamilton, N.Y., as pastor.

 

RETIREMENTS

Becky Longworth, retiring after 40 years as pianist at Union Cross Baptist Church, Kernersville, N.C.

Roger Nix, retiring after 25 years as executive director of Raleigh (N.C.) Baptist Association.

 

ORDINATIONS

Daniel and Chelsea Waite, ordained to ministry on Oct. 27 by Ebenezer Baptist Church, Atlanta, Ga.

Kelly Rawlins, ordained to ministry by Chesterfield Baptist Church, Moseley, Va., on Oct. 27.

Michelle Shadden, ordained to ministry on Oct. 27 by Peace Haven Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, N.C.

 

DEATHS

Coan G. Agee, 90, died Oct. 7 in Keysville, Va. During his 65 years as a Virginia Baptist pastor, he served churches in Bluefield, Amelia, Powhatan and Blairs. He retired from full-time ministry after 28 years as pastor of Ash Camp Baptist Church in Keysville. In retirement he was interim pastor for eight congregations. He was active in the Southside Baptist Association and served on the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. He worked with the Charlotte County Rescue Squad and Keysville Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Velda; four sons, Larry, Stan, Warren and Doug; one daughter, Annette Bennett; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Andy P. Grose, 76, died on Oct. 20 in Clayton, N.C. He served as pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church, Garner, N.C.; Graystone Baptist Church, Asheboro, N.C., and Edge Baptist Church, Gladys, Va. He retired from the pastorate of College Park Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Va. He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters, Karen Shaw and Pam Ouzts; two sons, Pete Shaw and Russell Taylor; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
