STAFF CHANGES

Kenneth Beesley, to First Baptist Church, Wyandotte, Mich., as pastor.

Chris Carlson, to First Baptist Church, Council Grove, Kan., as pastor.

Thomas Dunn, to First Baptist Church, Overland Park, Kan., as interim pastor.

Dallas Flippin, to First Baptist Church, Jackson, Mich., as pastor.

Merritt Johnson, to Baptist World Alliance as director of communications and media. She comes from Living on the Edge with Chris Ingram, where she worked as storyteller and marketing communications manager.

Rod Lindsey, concluding his tenure as minister of discipleship, young adults and missions at Shearer Hills Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas.

Doyle Lowry, to Tallowood Baptist Church, Houston Texas, as minister of discipleship and education. He comes from First Baptist Church, Denton, Texas, where he was executive pastor.

Mark Lutton, concluding his tenure as music director at Chester Congregational & Baptist Church, Chester, N.H.

Ken Meyers, to Riverside Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fla., as pastor.

Rita Moore, to First Baptist Church, Goddard, Kan., as pastor.

Don Patrick, to First Baptist Church, Garden City, Kan., as pastor.

David Roberts, to First Baptist Church, Olympia, Wash., as interim senior pastor, effective Jan. 1.

David C. Smith, to First Baptist Church, Owosso, Mich., as pastor.

John Thornton, concluding his tenure as associate pastor for youth, adults and missions at First Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, N.C.

Natalie Webb, to First Baptist Church, Worcester, Mass., as associate pastor of spiritual formation.

 

RETIREMENT

Steve Hollingsworth, retiring as pastor of Central Baptist Church, Augusta, Kan.

 

ORDINATIONS

Jackie Parker, ordained to ministry on Dec. 9 by Macedonia Baptist Church, Conyers, Ga.

Ashley Popperson, ordained to ministry on Dec. 9 by First Baptist Church, Jamaica Plains, Mass.

 

 

DEATH

David D. Munoz, 76, died Nov. 28 in San Antonio, Texas. He was pastor of multiple churches in South and Central Texas. He trained other ministers through the Baptist Bible Institutes of Baptist University of the Americas. He traveled internationally spreading the gospel and established Pinn Oaks International Ministries to support three homes for children in India and to equip Christians in South Asia for ministry. He is survived by his wife, Aurora; two daughters, Sara Alegria Rangel and Hosanna Betel Munoz-Kim; and six grandchildren.
