Ryan Chaisson, concluding his tenure as next generation minister at River Club Church, Fredericksburg, Va.

Lawrence Childs, to First Baptist Church, Hillsville, Va., as interim pastor.

Justin Dunn, to University Baptist Church, Shawnee, Okla., as pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Courtside Baptist Church, Newalla, Okla.

Kevin Gardner-Sinclair, to Broadway Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky., as senior pastor.

Matthew Harsch, to First Baptist Church, Kearney, N.J., as youth pastor.

Leonard Henry, to First Baptist Church, Clinton, N.C., as pastor.

Brian Hoffman, to First Baptist Church, Conway, S.C., as senior pastor. He comes from Cornerstone Baptist Church, Warrenton, Va., where he was associate pastor.

Kristy Horstman, to First Baptist Church, Fremont, Neb., as youth pastor.

Dan McFadden, concluding his tenure as pastor of Deep Run Baptist Church, Richmond, Va.

Virginia Otey, to Tomahawk Baptist Church, Midlothian, Va., as children’s ministry pastor.

Chris Palmer, to Second Branch Baptist Church, Chesterfield, Va., as lead pastor. He comes from Ironbridge Baptist Church, Chester, Va., where he was teaching pastor.

Suzanne Ringer, to Oakland Baptist Church, Rock Hill, S.C., as associate minister for music and community involvement.

Jackie Saxon, to American Baptist Churches of Iowa and Minnesota, as executive minister, effective Oct. 1.

Michael Slaughter, to Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, Waco, Texas, as associate pastor of music and worship.

David Schumann, to Ball Camp Baptist Church, Knoxville, Tenn., as interim youth minister.

Stephen Stookey, now serving as the dean of the school of religion and philosophy at Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, Texas.

Steven Wright, to Dahlonega (Ga.) Baptist Church, as pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Signal Mountain Baptist Church, Chattanooga, Tenn.

 

 

RETIREMENTS

Cedric Broughton, retiring after 14 years as pastor of First Baptist Church, Rome, N.Y.

David Garrard, retiring as minister to children at St. Matthews Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky., where he has served since 1976.

Thom S. Rainer, retiring as president and CEO of LifeWay Christian Resources, Nashville, Tenn., effective August 2019.
