Carl Bagley, to Lawrenceville (Va.) Baptist Church, as interim pastor.

Ted Fuson, to Victoria (Va.) Baptist Church, as interim pastor.

Gerald Melton, retiring after nearly 30 years as pastor of Sycamore Baptist Church, Stuart, Va.

Mark Wilbanks, retiring as pastor of Wieuca Road Baptist Church, Atlanta, Ga., after 43 years of ministry.

ORDINATIONS

Jaci Garrett, ordained to ministry on Feb. 11 by Sidney (Texas) Baptist Church.

Dave Oakley, ordained to ministry on Feb. 25 by Broadmoor Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, La., where he serves as minister of youth and children.

Katey Zeh, ordained to ministry on Feb. 11 by Pullen Memorial Baptist Church, Raleigh, N.C.

DEATH

Fred W. Thompson Jr., 85, died Feb. 13 in Toledo, Ohio. He devoted his life to the ministry of the American Baptist Churches USA. His ministry including pastor of congregations, campus ministry and area ministry before becoming executive minister of the American Baptist Churches of the Central Region and eventually assistant general secretary at the national ABC office in Valley Forge, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Lois; two daughters, Alicia Ann Tremmel and Penny Sue Kruse; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
