UNEDITED NEWS RELEASE — BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Social Work Program received notification that their program has been reaccredited by the Council on Social Work Education for another eight years.
By successfully meeting the standards of their accreditation body, the Social Work program is granted accreditation through 2014.
“The program has a continuous assessment and improvement process in place to ensure our program continues to meet and exceed the standards set by the accrediting agency,” Dr. Sue Daniwicz, chair of the social work program, said.
Courses in the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's Social Work Program are offered for students majoring in Social Work or taking classes for social science credit. The major in Social Work is designed to prepare students for entry level professional Social Work practice and graduate Social Work education. The Social Work Program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, masters and doctorate degrees.
