RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia Baptist Homes Foundation is hosting its annual Lakewood Manor Golf Tournament at Independence Golf Club April 21. Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by lunch and a 12 noon shotgun start.
All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Endowed Fund for Seniorships at Lakewood Manor, the Homes’ retirement facility in Richmond. Last year, Virginia Baptist Homes residents received over $900,000 in benevolent assistance, in part from tournament proceeds. Requests for need-based support continues to grow as residents live longer with more limited means.
Other tournaments will be hosted by three other Virginia Baptist Homes facilities: The Chesapeake on May 12, the Glebe on June 23 and Culpeper on Sept. 19.
