Justin Bishop, to Heritage Fellowship, Canton, Ga., as associate pastor.

Mike Bumgarner, to Spring Creek Baptist Church, Norman, Okla., as interim preacher.

Josh Cook, concluding his tenure as music director at First Baptist Church, Claxton, Ga., to continue his education.

William Deal, to Royston (Ga.) Baptist Church, as pastor.

Gil Gulick, to First Baptist Church, Silver Spring, Md., as pastor. He comes from the pastorate of First Baptist Church, Stantonsburg, N.C.

Lisabeth Gustafson, concluding her tenure as pastor of First Baptist Church, Winsted, Conn.

Ron Handlon, concluding his tenure as pastor of First Baptist Church, Cocoa Beach, Fla.

Jill Hardin, to North Stuart Baptist Church, Stuart, Fla., as children and family ministry director.

Cheryl Henson, to First Baptist Church, Oak Park, Ill., as interim pastor.

Sheila Riggs Jordan, to Culbertson Baptist Church, New Albany, Ind., as interim pastor.

Kyle Kelley, to Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Louisiana, as coordinator. He is chair of elders at Church for the Highlands in Shreveport, La., where he serves as volunteer minister to youth.

John Lepper, to Eminence (Ky.) Baptist Church, as interim pastor.

Kelly Littlejohn Jr., to First Baptist Church, Wallingford, Conn., as pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Blue Hills Baptist Church, Hartford, Conn.

Rob Nash, to Heritage Fellowship, Canton, Ga., as pastor.

John McNeece, to First Baptist Church, Twin Falls, Idaho, as lead pastor.

John Rice, to First Baptist Church, St.  Petersburg, Fla., as associate pastor.

Erika Spring, concluding her tenure as children’s minister at First Baptist Church, Greenville, Ill., to become chaplain at the Vandalia (Ill.) Correctional Center.

Fisher Stinson, to First Baptist Church, New Castle, Ky., as interim youth pastor.

Caleb Wigginton, to First Baptist Church, London, Ky., as student minister.

Ben Winder, to Mountain Brook Baptist Church, Birmingham, Ala., as minister of students. He comes from First Baptist Church, Knoxville, Tenn., where he was minister with youth and families.

RETIREMENTS

Robert F. Browning, retiring as pastor of First Baptist Church, Frankfort, Ky.

Michael Duncan, retiring after 38 years as pastor of Eminence (Ky.) Baptist Church.

Carol Johnson, retiring after 19 years as pastor of Troutville (Va.) Baptist Church.

Edith Sweatman, retiring as minister to music at Harlem (Ga.) Baptist Church.

 

 

ORDINATIONS

Judson Bishop, ordained to ministry on May 6 by Heritage Fellowship, Canton, Ga., where he serves as associate pastor.

DEATH

Charles Thomas Hast Sr., 71, died June 27 in Clinton, N.Y. He served as pastor of Bartlett Baptist Church, Rome, N.Y., and Oneida (N.Y.)  Baptist Church for many years, just recently retiring. He was a member of the American Baptist Churches of New York State, where he served on several committees. He is survived by his wife, Shawn; son, Charles; daughter, Allison Nisbet; and three granddaughters.
