Bart Morrison, to University Baptist Church, Houston, Texas, as pastor of worship ministries.

RETIREMENTS
Jay Lawson, retiring after over 19 years as senior pastor of Warrenton (Va.) Baptist Church.
Nancy Pierce, retiring after 45 years as organist and pianist at Blackstone (Va.) Baptist Church.
DEATH
Roland S. Carlton, 86, died Feb. 7 in Richmond, Va. A Virginia Baptist minister for over 41 years, he served six Baptist churches from 1956-1997. He served as a member of the Virginia Baptist Board for six years and as first vice president for one term. He is survived by his wife, Audrey; two daughters, Vicki White and Susan Montrief; a son, Roland; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
