Heritage Center seeks applicants. The Center for Baptist Heritage & Studies seeks applicants for the 2009-10 class of Heritage Fellows. BTSR honors volunteers. Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond is expressing gratitude to Ruth Guill and 25 other volunteers who have donated almost 3,300 hours of time to the seminary since last August. “We have been so fortunate to have such a dedicated and delightful group of volunteers,” said Ron Crawford, BTSR president. “We are indebted to Ruth for her work in pulling together this wonderful, hard-working group of folks. And it's an added benefit to have Ruth's can-do spirit invade this special workforce.” Once given a task, Guill quickly and effectively gets the job done. “Where there's a need, I want to serve,” she says. She faithfully served Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond for more than 60 years and coordinated the volunteer workforce at the Virginia Baptist Mission Board for many years. While her complete list currently has close to 70 volunteers, Guill says she's always looking for more to participate. “We're always looking for more folks to join in. We need more help.” Persons interested in volunteering at BTSR may contact the seminary at (804) 355-8135.
