Two vehicles of Christian crusaders led by January 6 insurrectionist Jake Lang swerved “unexpectedly and abruptly” through police barriers onto the sidewalk outside Minneapolis City Hall on Saturday, according to Minnesota Police Chief Bill Peterson. “Both vehicles drove onto the sidewalk in front of City Hall toward a crowd of people gathered there,” MPD announced on social media.
According to an MPD bulletin, “MPD had been aware of the planned demonstration for several weeks and developed a robust Incident Action Plan in preparation for the event. The plan included barriers outside City Hall intended to provide safe separation between demonstrators and vehicle traffic as well as strategically placed resources for quick deployment. MPD’s priority throughout the event was to protect public safety, separate opposing groups, prevent further violence and make arrests when probable cause existed.”
But the Christian crusaders had other plans.
Detroit News reported, “Lang arrived in Minneapolis on Saturday to advocate for a Rochester woman who called a Black autistic child a racial slur, according to a profane-ridden post on his X account.”

Armed with a large cross, American flag and a sign that said, “Jake Lang loves Black people, but hates (n word),” Lang shouted through his megaphone at the protesters who began climbing on his vehicle. Videos appear to show Lang’s crusaders fighting back by spraying the protesters with mace, when suddenly a man dressed as Spiderman climbed on the back bumper and attempted to pull the racist sign from Lang’s hands.
“Let me pray for you! Let me pray for you in Jesus’ name!” another protester yelled toward one of Lang’s fellow crusaders who stood in the bed of the truck holding a large wooden cross. The engine revved as MPD officers tried to clear the way to let the vehicles through. When another man attempted to pull the cross out of the truck, officers intervened.
After one of the trucks broke through and sped away, the second truck laid on the horn and slowly pushed its way through the crowd.
Tensions were especially high as protesters confronted the officers for failing to protect them from ICE earlier this year. So as MPD began arresting people, the protesters chanted, “Fuck you MPD! You protect Nazis!”
After Lang’s vehicles drove off, MPD tracked them, impounded their vehicles and arrested all the occupants on charges of “probable cause riot.”

‘A nation of Christians!’
Lang’s arrest comes just four days after he and 180 Church pastor Lorenzo Sewell entered the Dearborn City Council meeting that was being held inside the Henry Ford Centennial Library in Dearborn, Mich. According to Click On Detroit, Lang’s organizers marketed it as a “Christian Crusader March on Dearborn.”
“As the meeting approached, riot police moved to break up the crowd as people rushed to enter the library,” they reported.
Both Lang and Sewell were allowed to address the council.
After noting how honored he was to be the pastor of the church that President Donald Trump attended for his birthday and then to pray at Trump’s inauguration and preach at Rededicate 250, Sewell laid into the Dearborn City Council with a litany of falsehoods.
“We are not a nation of Muslims!” Sewell yelled while pointing his finger. “We are a nation of Christians!”
“We are not a nation of Muslims!” Sewell yelled while pointing his finger. “We are a nation of Christians! We are one nation, under God, indivisible, the God of the Bible! The God of the Lord Jesus Christ! That’s the God in whom we serve!”
Then he concluded, “America! We have lost this city! This is a city that is no longer up under American laws. We are up under Sharia law. We will not have it any more. Enough is enough!”
Of course, Dearborn is not under Sharia law.

‘The Crusade has begun!’
When Lang took the mic, he started complaining about how many babies were being born with the name Mohammed in England, while citing that as proof white Christians are being invaded.
“This is an invasion on all fronts!” Lang shouted. “That smug face of the Taqiyyah Muslims needs to be wiped off these people’s faces. These people are looking to destroy us. These people are looking to out-breed us. The Muslims have not come here to assimilate. They have come here to steal the wealth of this land, to rape our women.”
His accusations sounded eerily similar to what many white colonizers did to Native Americans.
Lang claimed Democrats are using the Muslims to spread socialism, while the Muslims are using the Democrats to gain power in order to one day impose Sharia law. So Christians supposedly must attack.
“The Crusade has begun!” he warned. “It’s over! Muslims go home! Before we send you home! We have cruise ships. We have planes. We have trains. And we’re gonna pack them out with all the Arabs. You have to go home. We don’t want you here!”
Then just as conservative Christians have been attempting to whitewash our nation’s violent history, Lang declared: “Our Founding Fathers gave this country to their posterity. White Christians! And they brought along with them their Black friends.”
That’s a rather twisted way of reframing chattel slavery.
Lang concluded: “We will not allow these third world mongrels to run roughshod over us without a fight. The body of Christ is one. If you are in Christ, you are my brother. If you stand against Islam, you are my brother! If you are willing to stand up and take this country back, you are my brother! Join the Crusades and extricate this filth from our country. We will have our way! Come blood or sweat. We will have our way! This is a Christian land! Christ is King! Christ is King!”
Then as the police escorted him out, he began tearing pages from a Quran.
As a reminder, Lang was pardoned by President Trump for eight charges in his role in the January 6 insurrection, which included three charges from allegedly beating police officers with a metal bat.

‘I don’t know how to turn this off’
With his friends Lang and Sewell escalating tensions in Dearborn and Minneapolis, worship leader Sean Feucht reflected on their crusade against Islam from his home, wondering what role he should play in the months ahead.

On one hand, Feucht is frustrated that more Christians aren’t taking their crusade against Islam seriously. Referencing the biblical David and Goliath story, Feucht said, “David walked to the battlefield and he was like, ‘Why are you guys tolerating this?’ And his brothers were like, condemning him and felt like he was coming there for ulterior reasons. And it’s just like I felt that, like, why are we tolerating this?”
It’s an ironic question that many Christians could redirect toward Feucht, Lang and Sewell.
Despite his frustration with the lack of enthusiasm among Christians, he added that since he led the Jesus March through the Muslim worship gathering in Chicago to take the territory away from them and give it back to Jesus, “I know I’ve gained probably 70,000 new followers on social media since that happened.”
While denying that he attacked the Muslim worship gathering for social media clout, he claimed, “We were just literally doing what God called us to do, being faithful and bam, we ran into this moment where there was this exposing to the nation that literally the streets of our country are being taken over by false ideologies and darkness.”
“I’m so deeply disturbed,” he kept repeating. But he never mentioned being disturbed about Lang and Sewell’s words or actions. He mentioned only concern over the Christians who aren’t listening to them. “Our nation is being overcome by radical Islam, by Hinduism, by false idols. … Our nation is going to hell! It’s being destroyed. It’s being eroded. And the church is apathetic.”
Whether Feucht will join Lang and Sewell on the battlefield in the months ahead remains to be seen. “I wish I could just write songs and be a nice worship leader and put music out there and go on family vacations and just have this great American life,” Feucht confessed. “But I’m just not made for that, man. Like, I don’t have that calling. And I don’t know how to turn this off. Like I don’t know how to turn this sobering, gut wrenching passion that I have to see things turned around.”
