Janet Cleland, to First Baptist Church, Athens, Ga., as minister of children, families and outreach.

Nicolas Deere, to Broadus Memorial Baptist Church, Charlottesville, Va., as pastor, effective Sept. 18.

Lauren Hayes Efird, to Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, Cary, N.C., as senior pastor. She was serving as interim pastor, and prior to that, was its minister of youth and congregational care.

Doug Garvin, to First Baptist Church, Lavonia, Ga., as youth and worship arts pastor.

Michael Gregory, serving as interim pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Saluda, Va.

Adam Hodges, to Barren Plains Baptist Church, Springfield, Tenn., as pastor. He comes from LaCrosse (Va.) Baptist Church, where he served as interim pastor.

Anna Holladay, to Holmeswood Baptist Church, Kansas City, Mo., as pastor of missions and communication.

Stuart James, to Mountain Baptist Church, Bluemont, Va., as pastor.

Stephanie Johnson, to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Macon, Ga., as director of music.

Anya King, to Southside Baptist Church, Chesapeake, Va., as minister of music.

George Koehl III, concluding his tenure after 23 years as minister of music and worship at First Baptist Church, Midland, Texas.

John Lemons, to First Baptist Church, Huntsville, Ala., as minister to young adults. He comes from Ridgedale Baptist Church, Chattanooga, Tenn., where he served as minister of outreach and recreation.

John Lepper, to First Baptist Church, Winchester, Ky., as interim pastor.

Roger Lowe, now serving as minister of media and technology at Boiling Springs (N.C.) Baptist Church.

Joe McDowell, now serving as director of missions for Concord Baptist Association, South Hill, Va.

Christopher Mitchell, to Crewe (Va.) Baptist Church, as interim pastor.

Kathryn Palen, to American Baptist Churches of Rhode Island, as associate executive minister for eldercare ministries.

Ronald J. Provencal, to Lakewood Baptist Church, Warwick, R.I., as pastor.

Stephen Stacks, to Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, Cary, N.C., as associate pastor of worship and faith formation.

Dawn Taylor, resigning as minister of music and church ministries at Heritage Baptist Church, Farmville, Va., to become a U. S. Army chaplain.

Brandon Tubbs, to Emmanuel Baptist Church, Alexandria, La., as associate pastor for student ministry and missions.

Natalie Webb, to Covenant Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas, as pastor.

Mason Williams, to First Baptist Church, Arlington, Texas, as director of worship technology.

Gerald Young, now serving as interim senior pastor at Calvary Hill Baptist Church, Fairfax, Va. 

RETIREMENTS

Hammond Coates, retiring after more than 34 years of ministry at First Baptist Church, Springfield, Va., effective Nov. 13. He has served as minister of education/administration, minister of discipleship and congregational ministries, minister of music and worship and lastly interim pastor.

Gloria Knight, retiring after 36 years in food services at First Baptist Church, Pensacola, Fla., the last 12 years as food services manager.

Palmer McCown, retiring as pastor for senior adults at First Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas.

Matthew Porter, ordained to ministry on Aug. 7 by First Baptist Church, Cape Girardeau, Mo.
