Lee Canipe, to Providence Baptist Church, Charlotte, N.C., as senior pastor, effective in Sept. He comes from the pastorate of Murfreesboro (N.C.) Baptist Church.

Patrick Cardwell, to Edenton (N.C.) Baptist Church, as associate pastor.

Dusty Carson, to Massaponax Baptist Church, Fredericksburg, Va., as pastor.

Rick Clore, resigning as pastor of Orange (Va.) Baptist Church, effective Dec. 31.

Daniel B. Cromer, to Spilman Memorial Baptist Church, Kinston, N.C., as pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Emmaus Baptist Church, Poquoson, Va.

B. J. Foster, to First Baptist Church, Lewisville, Texas, as youth minister.

John Gilliam, to Hardy Central Baptist Church, Henrico, Va., as youth minister.

Scott Hammett, to First Baptist Church, Clemmons, N.C., as pastor.

Howard Haughton, concluding his tenure as chief financial officer at The Riverside Baptist Church, New York, N.Y.

Brad Herridge, concluding his tenure as senior pastor of McLean (Va.) Baptist Church.

Brett Holmes, to First Baptist Church, Richmond, Va., as pastoral resident. He is a May 2016 graduate of Baylor’s Truett Theological Seminary, Waco, Texas.

Butch King, to Columbia Baptist Church, Falls Church, Va., as pastor for worship, music and arts.

Zechariah Olabisi, to Gambrell Street Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas, as minister of pastoral care.

Mark Olson, now serving as interim pastor of Haymarket (Va.) Baptist Church.

Michael “Rudi” Rudisill, to Macedonia Baptist Church, Raleigh, N.C., as youth minister.

Steve Shoemaker, to Grace Baptist Church, Statesville, N.C., as interim pastor.

Stephen Stacks, now serving as associate pastor of worship and faith formation at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, Cary, N.C. He previously served as minister of music.

Ken Stalls, to Goochland (Va.) Baptist Church, as interim preacher.

Theresa Steward, to Grace Baptist Church, Richmond, Va., as organist.

Sean Timmons, to Murfreesboro (N.C.) Baptist Church, as youth minister.

Ken Wells, to Gambrell Street Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas, as minister of administration.

Jeff and Tammy Wonderley, to Laurel Hill Baptist Church, Verona, Va., as director of music and worship and piano accompanist, respectively. 

RETIREMENTS

Elaine Lehr, retiring as chaplain at Sentara Norfolk (Va.) General Hospital. She was an Alliance of Baptists endorsed chaplain.

Gary West, retiring as pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Statesville, N.C. 

DEATH

Richard Norton, 80, died July 27 in Grand Rapids, Mich. He spent 20 years in Kenya as an American Baptist missionary teacher, working alongside his doctor wife, Ellen. In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children: Deborah Norton, Mark Norton, Rebecca Jones, Cheryl Daza, Sandra Leyder and Susan Kepley; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
