STAFF CHANGES

Vince Blackerby, now serving as director of operations at Mountain Brook Baptist Church, Birmingham, Ala.

Bill Booth, to First Baptist Church, Maryville, Tenn., as pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Vinton (Va.) Baptist Church.

Mike Brister, to First Baptist Church, El Paso, Texas, as interim pastor.

Jerry Cain, now serving as pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Kansas City, Mo.

Joel Harder, concluding his tenure as pastor of discipleship and global mission strategies at First Baptist Church, Alexandria, Va.

Byron Jackson, to First Baptist Church, Shallowater, Texas, as pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Allen Heights Baptist Church, Allen, Texas.

Jordan Medas, to Lake of the Woods Church, Locust Grove, Va., as pastor to young families. He comes from Zoan Baptist Church, Fredericksburg, Va., where he served as minister of worship and discipleship.

Clint Walker, to First Baptist Church, North Platte, Neb., as pastor.

DEATHS

Roy E. Ladd, 96, died Nov. 25, in Tomball, Texas. He was pastor of churches in Jacksboro and Fort Worth, Texas, before being called to Baptist Temple Church in Houston, where he served from 1957-1982. He is predeceased by his first wife, Hazel; and daughter, Sarah Hogue. He is survived by his wife, Wanda; son, Gerald; daughter, Doris Walker; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Paul W. Lee, 72, died Nov. 27 in Midlothian, Va. He began ministry as campus minister at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. He served on staff of the Virginia Baptist Mission Board, Tennessee Baptist Convention and Kentucky Baptist Convention. He was pastor of churches in Kentucky and Virginia, including Skipwith Baptist Church in Richmond, and Clarendon Baptist Church in Arlington. He served as interim pastor for several Virginia churches. He is survived by his wife, Anna Lee; two children, Jeffrey Phillip Lee and Elsie Lee Sobolewski; and one grandchild.

Lewis Warren Turner Sr., 93, died Dec. 1 in Blackstone, Va. He was pastor of Clarksville (Va.) Baptist Church for more than 20 years. In retirement he served Ebenezer Baptist Church, Clarksville, Va., for 10 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; and son, Anthony. He is survived by a daughter, Millie Sue King; son, Lewis Jr.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
