Baptist News Global’s podcast series “Stuck in the Middle with You” is back with two special episodes that introduce a second season of the show.
Co-hosts Mark Wingfield and Benjamin Cole intend to devote most of season two to interviews with key figures in Baptist life from the right, left and center. However, they kick off the new season with a highly emotional and personal hour of conversation about American politics.
Cole is a lifelong Republican and an enthusiastic supporter of President Donald Trump. Wingfield is a lifelong Democrat who has written that Trump is an “anti-Christ.” Both co-hosts are Baptists.
In sometimes tense moments and sometimes humorous moments, the duo attempt to find ways to talk about their political and theological differences.

A second new episode will drop next Thursday, with a conversation about what happened when Wingfield invited Cole to be the guest teacher in his Sunday school class. Cole is a member of the more conservative Prestonwood Baptist Church, while Wingfield is former associate pastor and still a member of the more liberal Wilshire Baptist Church.
