Baptist News Global’s newest podcast series launches today in both audio and video formats.
“This Is My Story” is hosted by Lucas Hall, who will interview members of the LGBTQ Christian community and tell their stories.

In episode one, BNG Executive Director Mark Wingfield introduces Lucas, who tells his own story of faith as a transgender man. Two more episodes will release this month, each on Tuesday, and then future episodes will drop roughly every two weeks.
“Given the frightening number of Christians who don’t believe it’s possible to be gay or transgender as a Christian, our hope is to give voice to those who are living this reality. As the old saying goes, it’s hard to argue with someone’s testimony,” Wingfield said. “It’s not enough for us to write about LGBTQ Christians, we need to hear from them in their own words and their own voices.”
Hall is passionate about building awareness and inclusion in the world through education and personal testimony. He holds a master of divinity degree from Austin Seminary and a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice, psychology and religion from Liberty University.
He is heavily involved with CenterPeace and The Reformation Project, two organizations working to build LGBTQ inclusion in faith spaces. He lives in Denver and teaches applied ethics as a philosophy professor and serves as director of youth and family ministry at an affirming church.
