MISSIONS MOMENT

 Warsaw1

 Warsaw2

Last summer 10 members from Warsaw Baptist Church in Warsaw traveled to Marlinton, West Virginia, for a missions experience. The team worked on two construction projects, ministered to 25 pregnant women who had their children with them up to 12 months in the birthing center of a regional federal prison, worshipped with the male prison population and traveled to remote areas of West Virginia for shut-in visitation. Seventy baby outfits, 25 crocheted blankets and money for the Diaper Fund were taken on the trip. Contributions from church members and the Rappahannock Baptist Association enabled the team to provide each mother and her child with a copy of the Mom's Devotional Bible, Toddlers Bible, and three books. A Bible study was held with the mothers concluding with the explanation of the plan of salvation. Team members pictured above (left to right) are: Lillian Ann Smith, Curtis Smith, Tom Rhodes, Katelyn Buzzard, Bobbie Dugan, Doc Dugan, Ruth Jessie, Charlie Spivey, Lylean Orlando and Faye Wade. Ladies pictured at left are participating in a Bible study session led by the team from Warsaw.
