STAFF CHANGES

Mike Abbamonte, resigning as pastor of the west campus of Atlee Community Church, Mechanicsville, Va., to accept a position in South Carolina.

Christopher Blythe, to Covington (Va.) Baptist Church, as pastor.

Ashley Boschen, to Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Mechanicsville, Va., as minister to families.

Brent Bowden, to First Baptist Church, Rochester, N.Y., as pastor.

Travis Craver, to Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene, Texas, as director of chapel and spiritual formation. He comes from Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas, where he served as associate pastor.

Henco Espag, to Judson Memorial Baptist Church, New York, N.Y., as music minister.

Amy Everett, resigning as associate pastor of Dayspring Baptist Church, Waco, Texas, effective Aug. 28.

Jon and Amanda Good, endorsed by American International Ministries for service in Hungary. He is senior pastor at Covenant Baptist Church, W. Bloomfield, Mich.

Sean Holloway, to First Baptist Church, Greenwood, Ind., as senior pastor.

Clay Jacobson, to the Baptist General Convention of Texas, as church starter covering the North East Texas region from Dallas to Texarkana. Previously he was pastor of Lamar Street Baptist Church, Sweetwater, Texas.

Philip Martyn, to First Baptist Church, Holly, Mich., as pastor.

Brian Minter, resigning as director of youth ministries at Rosalind Hills Baptist Church, Roanoke, Va.

Ginnie Moore, to Second Baptist Church, Richmond, Va., as director of recreation ministry.

Roger Paynter, resigning as interim senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Decatur, Ga.

Alicia Porterfield, to Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, Huntington, W. Va., as associate pastor for adult education, effective July 30.

Eric Porterfield, to Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, Huntington, W. Va., as pastor, effective July 30. He comes from the pastorate of Winter Park Baptist Church, Wilmington, N.C.

Michael Rosin, to First Baptist Church, Westfield, N.J., as director of music ministries.

Greg Soult, to Antioch Baptist Church, Sandston, Va., as pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Mentow Baptist Church, Huddleston, Va.

Kelly Stephens, concluding her tenure after 15 years as communications director at First Baptist Church, Greensboro, N.C.

Dale Welling, to Huntley-Memorial Baptist Church, Niles, Mich., as pastor.

Jessica Wilhelm, resigning as director of children’s ministries at Rosalind Hills Baptist Church, Roanoke, Va.

Lindsay Williams, to Dayspring Baptist Church, Town & Country, Mo., as youth minister. 

RETIREMENTS

John Campbell, retiring as senior pastor of Rose Union Baptist Church, Piney River, Va.

Aubrey Knox, retiring as minister of education and administration at First Baptist Church, Lufkin, Texas. He has served First Baptist in several capacities since 1969.

Steve Smith, retiring after 24 years as pastor of Colosse Baptist Church, West Point, Va.

DEATH

Noel Vose, 94, died May 2 in Western Australia. He served as president of the Baptist World Alliance between 1985 and 1990. He was the founding principal of the Baptist Theological College of Western Australia, which opened in 1963. He retired from that position in 1991. The institution was renamed in his honor in 2008 and is now known as Vose Seminary. He is predeceased by his wife, Heather. He is survived by a son, Stephen; and daughter, Valerie.
