David Cox, to Florence Baptist Church, Forest City, N.C., as minister of youth and instructional technology.

Travis Crocker, to Rock Creek Baptist Church, Nashville, N.C., as pastor. He comes from Cherry Point Baptist Church, Havelock, N.C., where he served as associate pastor.

Taylor Smith Crumley, to Flat Springs Baptist Church, Sanford, N.C., as associate pastor/family ministry.

Carin Daniels, to Woodland Baptist Church, Wake Forest, N.C., as children’s minister.

Larry Fields, to Smithwood Baptist Church, Knoxville, Tenn., as interim pastor.

Chris Gourley, to Rhoadesville (Va.) Baptist Church, as pastor. He comes from North Riverside Baptist Church, Newport News, Va., where he served as associate and interim pastor.

Renae Stewart Hester, to Madison (Ga.) Baptist Church, as minister of music.

Chris Johnson, to First Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas, as co-pastor, effective Aug. 20. He comes from the pastorate of Chalk Bluff Baptist Church, Waco, Texas.

Wayne Wallace, retiring after 33 years as pastor of State Line Baptist Church, Danville, Va. 

ORDINATIONS

Darrell Anthony, ordained to ministry on June 18 by First Baptist Church, Independence, Mo.

Taylor W. Mason, will be ordained to ministry on Aug. 6 by First Baptist Church, Newport News, Va.

Keith Menhinick, will be ordained to ministry on Aug. 6 by College Park Baptist Church, Greensboro, N.C.

DEATH

Carlton W. Younge, 94, died July 23 in Canton, Mich. He retired in 1987 after serving for 36 years as senior pastor of Alpha Baptist Church in Livonia, Mich. He continued to serve many churches in the following years. He is survived by his wife, Lora; children, David, Margaret, Mark, Thomas and Gary; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
