DEATHS
Harrison T. Pendley, 98, died Sept. 16 in Dallas, Texas. He served as pastor of churches in Texas, was director of missions at the Dallas Baptist Association and Midland-Odessa Baptist Association and state mission coordinator of the church building department of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. He was a past member of the Baptist World Alliance Commission on Church Leadership. Upon retirement he and his wife, Dora, helped to establish more than 100 new congregations in Australia. He is predeceased by his wife. He is survived by two children, LaRue and Janice
David Plott, 75, died Nov. 4 in Dublin, Va. He had served as pastor of Belspring (Va.) Baptist Church and interim pastor of Fairlawn (Va.) Baptist Church, and director of missions for the Goshen and East River and Highlands Baptist Associations. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; sons, Tommy, Joey and John; a daughter, Laura Daniels; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Bill E. Roe, 86, died Oct. 4 in Cleburne, Texas. He was pastor of several Baptist churches in North Texas and North Central Texas. For 11 years he was on the staff of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and for 15 years was director of missions for Johnson Baptist Association. He is survived by his wife, Nina; son, Dwight; daughter, Melissa Roe Powell; and eight grandchildren.
