Bob Billups, to BaptistWay Press, as publisher. He has served as senior associate pastor of First Baptist Church, Denton, Texas, as well as First Baptist Church, Midland, Texas. BaptistWay Press is the publishing branch of Texas Baptists.

Ben Brown, to Second Baptist Church, Richmond, Va., as minister of students.

Bart Dalton, resigning as minister to students at First Baptist Church, Richmond, Va., to become associate chaplain at Randolph-Macon College, Ashland, Va.

Kellie Denton, to First Baptist Church, Gainesville, Ga., as minister to families and outreach.

John Doty, to Atwater (Calif.) Baptist Church, as pastor.

Tyler English, now serving as associate to families at Cool Spring Baptist Church, Mechanicsville, Va.

Kermit Evans, to Scottsburg (Va.) Baptist Church, as pastor.

Lee Foster, to Tabernacle Baptist Church, South Hill, Va., as pastor.

David Griffiths, concluding his tenure as minister of music at Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, Washington, D.C.

Ron Grizzle, to First Baptist Church, Gainesville, Ga., as pastoral director of the ministry of caring.

Everett Hughes, to Westville Baptist Church, Mathews, Va., as interim pastor.

Joseph Jones, concluding his tenure as president of Arkansas Baptist College, Little Rock, Ark.

James Kimmel, to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Carrollton, Ga., as associate pastor for music and worship. He currently serves as pastor for music and worship at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, Waco, Texas.

Nathan LaShoto, to First Baptist Church, Claxton, Ga., as pastor.

Jason Mitchell, to First Baptist Church, Springfield, Va., as senior pastor, effective Jan. 7. He currently serves as associate pastor there.

Undra Parker, to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Anchorage, Alaska, as pastor.

Dan Reeves, to Emmaus Baptist Church, Quinton, Va., as minister of children and youth.

Matt Snyder, to First Baptist Church, Decatur, Ga., as pastor to young adults. 

DEATH

Robert Joe “Bob” Potts Sr., 84, died Dec. 24 in San Antonio, Texas. He was pastor of Baptist churches for more than 40 years, including First Baptist Church, Columbus, Ga., where he served from 1973-1995, and First Baptist Church, Corsicana, Texas, where he served from 1964-1973. He and his wife, Dorothy, served as Cooperative Baptist Fellowship missionaries in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from 1996-1998, where they worked with Rainbow Church, an English-Russian speaking church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Potts Jr; a daughter, Katherine Musgrove; and one granddaughter.
