Greg Bruce, concluding his tenure as minister of music at Fern Creek Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky.

Katie Callaway, to University Baptist Church, Baltimore, Md., as associate pastor of adult discipleship, young adults and children’s ministry.

David Cassady, to Baptist Seminary of Kentucky, Georgetown, Ky., as president, effective in May.

Andy Cain, to Calvary Baptist Church, Emporia, Va., as senior pastor.

Jeff Hayes, to First Baptist Church, Rock Hill, S.C., as senior pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Calvary Baptist Church, Asheville, N.C.

Matt Homeyer, to First Baptist Church, Waco, Texas, as interim minister of discipleship.

Lisa Williams Hood, to First Baptist Church, Lafayette, Ind., as pastor, effective May 1. She comes from First Baptist Church, Forest City, N.C.

Chris Kang, to First Baptist Church, Springfield, Va., as interim director of traditional worship.

Larry Jones, to First Baptist Church, Elkin, N.C., as intentional interim pastor.

Karen Kelly, to Bethlehem Baptist Church, Covington, Ga., as interim pastor.

Jennifer Mullins, to Baptist General Association of Virginia, as minister-in-residence for women’s ministry.

John Owen, to First Baptist Church, Carlisle, Ky., as pastor. He comes from the pastorate of First Baptist Church, Winchester, Ky.

David Roberts, completing an interim pastorate at Calvary Baptist Church, Emporia, Va.

Guy Sayles, to Calvary Baptist Church, Asheville, N.C., as interim pastor.

Meagan Smith, to First Baptist Church, Lexington, N.C., as associate minister. 

RETIREMENT

Sue Ellen Glover, retiring after 25 years as director of Christian education at First Baptist Church, Ann Arbor, Mich.

DEATHS

James Charles Dalton, 51, died Feb. 26 in Nampa, Idaho, from complications from a kidney transplant. He was pastor of Community Baptist Church, Melba, Idaho. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; sons, Zane, Jace and Owen; and mother, Joyce Dalton.

Hazel Ann Roper, 77, died March 17 in Berwick Maine. She was pastor of Plainfield Community Church, Plainfield, N.H., for 10 years, an associate executive/field minister for the American Baptist Churches of New York State for 13 years and field service representative for the Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board for 10 years. She is survived by her brother-in-law, George Simonian; and nieces and nephews.
