Rabbis express concern about excesses of Purim celebrations

According to the Code of Jewish Law, a person is obligated to drink enough alcohol on Purim to be unable to differentiate between cursing Haman and blessing Mordechai, but Jewish leaders have become alarmed by the excessive use of alcohol during the holiday.
