No political victory should be worth sacrificing moral integrity

As the summer heat waxes and state legislative sessions wane, the Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation has scored a few small but significant victories.

We should be saddened, distressed, angered and determined to resist white supremacy, white religious nationalism and the unjust policies and practices associated with it. But we shouldn’t be amazed or fooled.    

We all have confirmation bias, making it difficult for us to accept evidence contrary to what we already believe, but the history and faith practices of white evangelicals offer an additional set of tools of belief.
