STAFF CHANGES

James K. Dew Jr., to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, as president. He comes from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, N.C., where he was vice president for undergraduate studies and distance learning.

Charles A. Fowler, to Carson-Newman University, Jefferson City, Tenn., as president, effective July 1. Since 2010 he has been pastor of Germantown (Tenn.) Baptist Church. Previously he was senior vice president of university relations at Union University in Jackson, Tenn.

Dirk Hill, to First Baptist Church, Richmond, Va., as pastor of its Deaf Mission. He comes from the pastorate of New Beginnings Deaf Fellowship, Tyler, Texas.

Tyler Johnson, to Vestavia Hills Baptist Church, Birmingham, Ala., as minister to students. He comes from First Baptist Church, Williamsburg, Ky., where he served as associate pastor to studies and families.

William Reilly, to Faith Baptist Church, Georgetown, Ky., as pastor, effective July 7.

David Schumann, to Ball Camp Baptist Church, Knoxville, Tenn., as pastoral intern.

Andrea Wheeler, to Ball Camp Baptist Church, Knoxville, Tenn., as minister to youth.

RETIREMENT

Nancy Hall, retiring after 30 years as associate professor of ministry and congregational music and director of contextual education at American Baptist Seminary of the West, Berkley, Calif.

 

ORDINATIONS

Emily Anne Collins, ordained to ministry on June 9 by Ball Camp Baptist Church, Knoxville, Tenn.

Jane Dye, ordained to ministry on May 19 by College Park Baptist Church, Greensboro, N.C.

Matthew Greg, ordained to ministry on June 8 by Yates Baptist Church, Durham, N.C.

Elizabeth Miller Villegas, ordained to ministry on June 2 by First Baptist Church, Ahoskie, N.C.
