Donald Trump’s Waco rally this past weekend was, in the end, filled with echoes of the 1993 siege of the Branch Davidian compound—just not the kind we like to talk about. And, despite the Huffington Post and New York Times profiles of the Q-adjacent current leader of the Branch Davidians, and despite the lurid quotes (“Donald Trump is the anointed of God… He is the battering ram that God is using to bring down the Deep State of Babylon”), there was no meaningful connection between the rally and the Branch Davidians.
